The Legal system of St Vincent and the Grenadines is based upon the English Legal system and is derived from the English common law as well as statutes.
How many magisterial districts are they?
There are 3 magisterial districts and 11 magistrate’s courts. 
What is the limit for monetary claims?
The jurisdictional limit for monetary claims in the Magistrate’s Court is $6,000.00.  
Claims for sums exceeding $6,000.00 must therefore be brought in the High Court of Justice.
 When was the family court established?
The family court  was established in 1994 to deal with family related matters such as applications for maintenance, custody and protection orders
What is the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court?
The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court is a Superior Court of record for nine Member States and Territories, namely Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Lucia.
How is the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court made up?
The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court consists of two divisions: a Court of Appeal and a High Court of Justice.
How many High Court Judges are there?
There are two resident High Court Judges in St Vincent and the Grenadines
The Court of Appeal, on the other hand, is an itinerant court, in that its sittings are rotated among the nine Member States.
